Scarlett Homestay Services (SHS) provides a safe and caring living environment for international students and travelers seeking short/long-term accommodations that offer an experience of the American lifestyle.

Vision Statement

Our international home stay service delivers excellence in promoting international cultural exchange. We provide a way to feel at home, immerse in the culture, food, values, and family hospitality.

San Diego, California is a beautiful city with plenty of beaches, theme parks, great weather and the largest Zoo in the world. SanDiego is located just 15 minutes from the Mexican border, and two hours from famous Hollywood in Los Angeles.

There are many academic programs for International students: SDSU,UCSD and a dozen language schools just to name some.

Scarlett Homestay Services is dedicated to finding you a safe home. We have been in the business of working with tourists and students for over twenty years.

I was born in San Jose, Costa Rica and moved to the United States at the age of seven. My family has always hosted students and travelers from all parts of the world. My first experiences were in Costa Rica as a child, which brings back many fond memories. In the United States, I had the opportunity to not only befriend my host sisters and brothers but also attend a University with them. At San Diego State University, I was able to earn a Bachelors of Science degree and graduate at the same time as one of my host sisters.

I now live in Sacramento, California and I love it here. Hosting international students and travelers is a very rewarding experience. It gives my family and me an opportunity to learn about different culturesand teach others about American culture and values. I hope your experience here will be as great as mine is.I am looking forward to working with you.
